  Kashmir University to hold examinations #offline, date sheets to be issued soon Kashmir University on Friday announced that all pending exams of the varsity will be held in “offline” mode and the date sheets will be issued soon. Reacting to the demand of some students including Nursing Students’ who are seeking “online” exams, Controller of Examinations, KU, Prof Irshad A Nawchoo said that all pending and recently-postponed examinations shall be held in “offline” (pen-paper) mode. “No examination shall be held in online mode.” The University is already in the process of redrafting and issuing datesheets for various pending examinations, which shall commence soon after the pandemic situation eases, he said.   “The University is closely watching the situation and shall possibly issue all datesheets at the earliest to ensure timely declaration of results/ completion of degrees,” he said as per a statement to GNS. “Students are advised to ready themselves for offline examination...

  #Fake Circular on #CBSE Term 1 Results Doing the Rounds, Board Warns Students The CBSE has not yet released any circular regarding declaration of Term 1 resultsabbat   A 'public notice' on 25 January, Tuesday with information on the Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) results for class 10 and class 12 students was doing the rounds. However, the board warned the students that it was fake. The notice stated that the CBSE Term 1 results for classes 10 and 12 would be declared by 2 pm on Tuesday. It further stated that candidates would be given usernames and passwords via their centres. The board has not yet released a public notice about the result dates. An official announcement is expected soon. The board was expected to announce the results by 15 January. Jammu, Jan 21:  Finance department has asked the pension sanctioning authorities to check the fixation and regulation of pay of the employees due to retire with effect from January 1 to June 1, 2024, before submitting the service books to the office of Accountant General (J&K) for verification. In a circular by the Codes Division of the Department Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Atal Dulloo advised all the Administrative Secretaries to direct the pension sanctioning authorities subordinate to them to verify the details as per the checklist framed in consultation with the AG's Office. When the vehicle was checked, 75 grams of charas was recovered from it.    Police seized the vehicle and arrested both the accused who have been identified as Pineet Razdan and Vinay Sharma, presently residing at Muthi Jammu.   A formal case vide FIR number 8/2022 under section 8/20, 29 have been registered against them. #MeT predicts another wet spell during Jan 22, 23. ,Srinagar Jan 19 (TGK): The local Meteorological department (MeT) on Wednesday said that there is a possibility of light rains and snow on January 22 and 23 in Jammu and Kashmir. However, the weatherman said that there is no forecast of any major snowfall till the end of January. “The weather in Jammu and Kashmir will mainly remain dry from 24 January onwards till end of this month while spell of light rains or snowfall is likely during January 22 and 23 with 60 percent chances of downpour,” an official told the news agency.  The official said that today the weather was partly to generally cloudy in both the regions, while light rains and snowfall occurred at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir. “As of today, there is no forecast of any major rain/snow till the end of January,” he added.
