IOT students, teachers invent automatic ‘#Nun_Chai’ vending machine.

Two girl students and two teachers from Institute of Technology, University of Kashmir have invented an automatic pink tea “nun chai” #vending_machine that prepares the tea instantly.

The patent application has been accepted by the Patent Authority of India and the authority has published the patent under the Application no: 202111057612.

The group includes Qaaifa Ibrahim B-tech 4th sem student, Yousman Zahoor, B-tech 4th Sem student, department of electronics and communication engineering, IOT Zakura campus, Er Rouf ul Alam Bhat ,assistant professor IOT Zakura campus and Jahangeer Aurshad Bhat CEO Kashovatics, M-tech embedded systems five times gold medalist in international innovation fair, pursuing PG diploma in PI and ML at University of Texas Austin USA.

Qaafia Ibrahim while talking with news agency Kashmir News Observer said that since ages, nun chai has been prepared manually which consumes a lot of time.

She said that an instant, hygienic and proper preparation of the pink tea is the need of the hour and so to overcome the traditional method of pink tea preparation, an automatic pink tea (nun chai ) vending machine has been invented that prepares the pink tea instantly with proper hygiene.

“The aim of the invention is to keep the traditional taste of the pink tea intact. Whenever we go out we ask for sugar tea or coffee but we never ask for our own traditional pink tea as it isn’t available at most of the places due to its lengthy procedure,” Qaaifa said.

Qaaifa said most people even don’t know how to prepare pink tea due to which our tradition is becoming dead.

“So we want pink tea available at every restaurant and hotel so as to keep our tradition alive,” she said.

“We are now working to make a prototype of it for which we need sponsors as it will take around Rs 70,000 which we cannot afford as students,” She said.

She further added that a simple vending machine will cost around Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 which will be affordable for everyone.
